(Feb. 5, 2016 1:50 p.m.)

Okay, so immediately after the Winter Update post, it snowed.  And then, on the 5th of February, it dumped, and more than expected (about half a foot). …But not before a whole day of rain.

Driveway lake. (low-light + flash; Feb. 3 6:54 p.m.)

Yeah, on rare occasion I have to journey around an obstacle course on my walks… stuck to only the first half of the driveway on the 3rd because of the mini-lake you see above.  Now, I don’t mind shoveling snow much; shoveling is good exercise; shoveling gives me something to do…

It’s continuous rain that makes things difficult, from having to walk around the deepening puddles to the squishing and tracking of mud.  But there is a common problem when it comes to snow: anything you’ve left outside…

Stick/branch pile. (May 27, 2015 5:45 p.m.)

…may get buried…

Same pile of sticks… (Feb. 9, 2016 4:23 p.m.)

But not to worry.  More branches and twigs are on their way…

(Feb. 10 3:46 p.m.)

…from above.  The winds and weight of the snow have begun to break branches, and some trees…

Look at that angle in the distance… (Feb. 10 3:46 p.m.)

Buried and broken, in the cold… now that sounds like a metaphor… so much work to do, yesterday, yesteryear… and here, I am, getting old and worn, and I’ve barely touched the surface.

At least I’ve embraced the cold enough, used to it, to walk forward.  It snowed very lightly Wednesday, around freezing point, and, after receiving word that a friend, after a day of silence, was merely busy, I could walk in peace.

It was no use worrying anyway.  It’s little use burning up in the cold.

Neighborly (controlled) fire. (Jan 30 4:14 p.m.)

But sometimes… I just don’t know. …None of us know for sure when someone goes silent, for whatever undisclosed reason, noting bloggers that’ve ‘disappeared’ for half a year, or more.  I can only pray… or attempt to.

…Okay, that’s enough depressing everyone.  I hope your Thursday is a productive one, but not too buried in work. …And don’t forget to tell your special someone that you love ’em, this weekend.  We only have so much time…
